As a life-long learner, and with an unwavering commitment to always be CURIOUS and ask “Why Not?”, Astra Foggy has been able to successfully navigate the unexpected and welcome
the challenge of exploring the unknown.
Originating from a background in fashion design, transitioning to operations management, project coordinator, systems analyst and refinement with a current focus in managing a highly
diversified Real Estate portfolio through a holistic and long-term approach that optimizes business needs and objectives, Astra has mastered translating her diverse professional
experiences into a valuable skill set that is applicable, beneficial and relevant to her current endeavor.
Through the many twists and turns of her professional life, Astra has honed her ability to see things from a different, and at times unconventional yet well-rounded perspective. This has
allowed her to take a “vision and strategy” approach to each position she has held. Astra has transformed strategic plans into workable solutions – spearheaded the restructuring and
streamlining of operational processes across a number of industries – drove operational growth – consistently increased revenue and expanded a reluctant to grow customer base. She has
been the driving force behind developing visions that encompass the realization of strategies and the profitability goals of that vision.
Through the different chapters of her professional journey – from starting, developing and nurturing a dynamic design company that created classically forward-looking clothing for women
and customized pieces for men, to repositioning a full-service “rustic” destination resort nestled in the Northern California forest at the base of Mt. Shasta, Astra continues to rise to the task at hand, reaching into her arsenal of creativity, focus, adaptability, collaboration, common sense and “hands-on” experience to achieve what is needed and required.
Astra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science with a Fashion Emphasis and a Minor in Costume Design from the University of California at Berkeley. Followed by a graduating Magna cum Laude from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising as a Professional Designation Graduate with an AA degree in Fashion Design.
