Pranil Shankar is the founder and president of SPADE Security Services, a Rocklin-based company pioneering advanced security solutions. A combat-decorated Marine Corps veteran, Pranil served in two special operations in Iraq between 2003 and 2006, demonstrating exceptional dedication and bravery during critical Middle East operations. His military experience has instilled a mission-driven focus that he now channels into the security industry, blending discipline with advanced technology to deliver reliable, comprehensive security solutions.
Pranil is actively involved in veteran and cultural organizations. He is a member of the American Legion, Bear River Post 789, a VFW member, and a dedicated volunteer for the Hindu American Foundation, where he contributes to various cultural and advocacy efforts.

Under his leadership, SPADE Security Services has become the first California PPO licensee recognized for sustainable business practices. With partnerships across the Industry, SPADE integrates AI-driven security solutions for schools, construction sites, commercial and public spaces. A proud father of two, Pranil is deeply invested in school safety through SPADE’s “Every Child Matters” campaign, aimed at violence prevention in educational settings.
Pranil holds a bachelor’s in human services, an MBA from the University of Phoenix and is a graduate of the Catalyst Leadership program through the Sacramento Asian Chamber of Commerce and 2025 Leadership Rocklin Class. He is Rocklin Chamber of Commerce honorary Board member, South Placer Rotary Club and most recently, an appointed Rocklin Arts Commissioner.
